Aims and Objectives: Why should we have a better speaking voice?

Key skills in communication are tied up within vocal skills – clearly spoken words to get the message across efficiently, a pleasant voice, an accent that is interesting but does not obscure the words, as well as an indication of our polite and professional attitude in terms of vocal tone and emphasis to highlight the meaning of the words.

Competent vocal skills are essential to communicate critical information, negotiate, present, persuade and pacify others.

This intensive 2-day course gives participants a chance to become aware of their vocal faults and learn techniques to correct them. This will allow participants to develop better vocal skills so that they can speak to customers and colleagues with confidence, effectiveness and impact.

Pre-Training Preparation

Participants send a digital recording of themselves using a script with prompts provided by the trainer. This will help the trainer to diagnose vocal difficulties and be ready to propose remedies for participants during the training.

Pre-work – send a recording of your voice to the trainer together with an email explaining your objectives. Also a list of words you find it difficult to pronounce.
