This two-day workshop will promote an accurate understanding of the stress response and how it can affect work performance, cause interpersonal conflicts and seriously interfere with career advancement. It will cover both internal and external causes of stress as well as distinguish between positive stress and negative stress. It will survey various strategies for managing stress more effectively, including how to make stress work for us rather than against us. Four different relaxation techniques will be taught, and with time allocated for personal reflection and making resolutions, this workshop will bring about a real lifestyle and behaviour change.

Workshop Leader

Dr. Amy Daniel has an extensive employment history covering a variety of appointments over a span of more than 15 years. She has degrees in psychology and counselling from Australia, a Ph.D. from Europe and has also attended training courses in the United States. Her corporate training portfolio covers applied psychology, emotional intelligence, work-life balance, stress management, effective communication and basic counselling skills. She is a Work-Life Consultant and Family Life Ambassador with MCYS. She has conducted customized training workshops for a variety of corporations, government agencies and statutory boards which include ABN Amro Bank, Changi International Airport Services, PIL Pte. Ltd., Executive Counselling and Training Academy, HDB, Ministry of Environment, DSO National Laboratories, M Hotel, and Tanker Pacific Pte.Ltd.
